The third call opens on September 1st The third call for proposals concentrates on activities which seek cross-border solutions for forest based cooperation and for questions relating to sustainable energy. The call opens on September 1st and the fist phase of the call closes on November 3rd.
The overall objective for the call is to strengthen cross-border cooperation in forest and energy based cooperation. The specific objectives are to find innovative approaches for forest based cooperation and to promote sustainable energy solutions.
Objectives for Priority 1 (Economic development):
- to promote wood and forest related cross-border business opportunities
- to improving the wood processing with cross-border cooperation
- to support and promote the use of local bio-energy and wood as energy sources
- to support activities which promote comprehensive energy efficient solutions in community planning and building
- to promote wood as a building material
- to promote forest, wood and bio-energy related investment opportunities in the programme region
Objectives for Priority 2 (Quality of life):
- to develop forest and wood related know-how and expertise
- to develop know-how and expertise relating to sustainable energy, energy-efficiency, energy measurement and control
- to support eco-friendly and energy-efficient attitudes on living and neighborhoods
- to promote the multiple use of forests
The call for proposals is restricted; on the first phase of the call a concept note is submitted to the Joint Managing Authority. Grant applications are submitted during the second phase of the call. Funding is applied using the EMOS system.
The overall indicative amount made available under this call is EUR 6 800 000. Minimum amount of the grant is EUR 50 000. Maximum amount of the grant is EUR 3 876 000 on projects under priority 1 and EUR 2 924 000 on projects under priority 2. No grant may exceed 90 % of the total eligible costs of the action.
The applicant's package for the call will be published once the call opens. An information/discussion event on the theme may be organised in September. The next calls for proposals are under preparationT The next calls for proposals will cover the themes cultural cooperation and social and economic well-being. The plan is to open both themes during the first half of 2012. The guidelines of these calls are under preparation. Programme's branch office in Petrozavodsk opened The Karelia ENPI Programme’s branch office in Petrozavodsk is opened and based at the premises of Onego Palace hotel Business Centre. Mr Dmitri Bazegski works at the brach office as a project officer and is responsible for the information activities in Karelia.
The Council of Oulu Region moved
The Council of Oulu region moved to a new location on 1st of August. The new address is Sepänkatu 20, 90100 Oulu, Finland. The personnel of the Karelia ENPI CBC Programme will move to the same premises in late September. However, the new address is applicable already now.
