The first call for proposals was opened on 1st February 2010 under a theme Cross-border solutions for sustainable spatial, economic and environmental development.

The first phase of the call was closed on 17th March. Altogether 59 concep notes were submitted within the deadline of which 51 passed the administrative check. The Selection Committee invited 18 lead partners to submit a grant application during the second phase of the call that was closed on 17th June. All invitees submitted a grant application.

The Joint Monitoring Committee confirmed the project selection in November 2010. The first grant contracts were signed in February 2011.
