Call for Proposals postponed

Friday, 12 November 2010 10:12

The Joint Monitoring Committee of the Karelia ENPI programme decided on its meeting on 11th November to postpone the opening of the call for proposals for the tourism related projects. The Monitoring Committee will decide about the opening of the call once it has made a decision about budgeting of the large scale projects. In practice the call will not be opened before February 2011.

The Joint Managing Authority is prepared to open the call as soon as the Monitoring Committee has made its decision.

The project selection of the first call for proposals was also on the agenda of the Monitoring Committee. The committee recommends ten projects for funding. The JMA needs to consult the European Commission about before beginning the contracting of the projects.

The Monitoring Committee is responsible for the strategic decisions concerning the programme implementation. The committee consists of Finnish and Russian members both from the programme region and from the central governments of the countries.
